Erin - Back Office Coordinator/Medical Assistant/Surgery Scheduler
Erin graduated from ThunderRidge High School in 2009, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Wanting to pursue a career in the medical field, she decided to attend Anthem College in Aurora, Colorado. She graduated as a Medical Assistant, Alpha Beta Kappa with high honors.
As the medical assistant and surgery scheduler of Dr. Herzog, Erin is pleased to know every patient at Castle Rock Foot and Ankle Care. Her passion for her work can be seen in her ability to recall each patient’s needs and in her innate desire to go above and beyond to see those needs met. Having been with the practice since 2011, Erin has an extensive knowledge base that allows her to extend the best possible care. Her compassionate personality puts our patients at ease, welcoming both existing and new people into our office every day. She is a vital asset to our team, benefiting patients and coworkers alike.
Outside of work, Erin enjoys being outside and staying healthy with her husband, Hank, and son, Remington. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her family and trying new food. She loves what Colorado has to offer and is going to keep the state her permanent home.
Anita - Medical Biller & Coder
Anita started her medical billing career in the lab industry and moved on to primary care and specialty practices. She has had the opportunity to learn the daily operations of all billing functions. She is committed to prioritizing the needs of our patients above all else. She sees every problem as an opportunity to make a positive change. Changes in healthcare throughout the years have made her knowledge extensive of the medical billing process.
Anita was raised in Englewood, CO and graduated from Englewood High. She has worked in the Douglas County community since 1997, and she he has resided in Elbert County for 25 years. Anita and her husband have a blended family of 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She loves her country style life in Elbert county, and she enjoys spending time with family most of all. Her hobbies include crocheting and gardening during the warm seasons of wonderful Colorado.
Kathy - Front Office
Kathy retired from 30 years of teaching in May of 2019, and she still wanted to help others in any way she could. Being able to help patients have a pleasant experience in our office is one way of fulfilling that desire. Having dealt with foot issues herself, she understands how patients might be feeling and can hopefully lend support while they are going through their own procedures.
Kathy works in the Front Office of Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care and brings enthusiasm and positivity into conversation with all of our patients. She is diligent about making sure each patient experience is as punctual, thorough and as seamless as possible. We are excited to have Kathy as part of our team.
As a native of Colorado, Kathy graduated from Columbine High School and then from the University of Northern Colorado. She loves being outside, traveling and experiencing new places. She and her husband, Ron, really enjoy watching their son, Cody, show horses. He is an assistant reining trainer and has ridden most of his life. She also spends her free time reading, crafting and playing with her dogs.
Brenda - Medical Biller / Coder / Credentialing
Brenda graduated from Elizabeth High School in 2002, in Elizabeth, Colorado. She worked in retail as a Manager for 8 years and Emergency Dispatching for 3 years before going to work at a bank for 6 years. She missed being in the medical field and went back to school for Medical Billing and Coding in 2018 and completed her certificate in 2019.
As a medical biller for Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care, Brenda applies her previous banking experience to the financial side of the practice; her superb attention to detail with numbers/keeping data up to date allows charts to stay extremely accurate. In addition, she is able to also tie in her medical background in order to perfect the medical coding portion of her job. Her diligence in completing tasks and excellent customer service with our patients, makes patients feel comfortable discussing their bills and invoices they receive.
Brenda and her husband have one daughter, Sierra, three step children, Caroline, Tyler and Noah and a pug, Rose. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and spending as much time outdoors as possible. She loves hiking, camping, Nascar and football.
Zely - Front Office
Zely came to Colorado to be with her parents and has now been in Colorado for a few years. During this time, she decided to pursue a medical career. She graduated from the Pima Medical Institute with honors in 2020. She then started her career with Dr. Pollard in her previous Denver office location, helping with front office and billing duties. When Dr. Pollard joined Castle Rock Foot and Ankle Care, she decided to join the staff at CRFA.
When she is not at the office she likes to explore Colorado while hiking with friends and finding new places to eat. She likes to spend other free time working out and also enjoying fashion and all that it entails. Trying to find her niche in Colorado still, she would love to try snowboarding, skydiving and bungee jumping.
She is hoping to further her career in the medical field and someday be able to travel the world. Not only does she want to see the beautiful sights, but she also hopes to absorb the different cultures and amazing foods.
Amanda - Surgery Scheduler
Amanda has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Culturally Responsive Pedagogy. She taught elementary school before the birth of her second daughter in 2020.
Currently, Amanda is so excited to be back at Castle Rock Foot Ankle Care! She worked in our office back in 2014 and 2015 at the front desk. She is now happy to help patients schedule their surgeries. Her attention to detail will support patients, making all patients feel informed and comfortable through this process. She is a friendly and reliable point of contact as you navigate your foot and ankle procedures.
In her free time, Amanda cherishes her family time, especially with her two daughters. She loves crafts, reading and writing- all of which are made more fun with her little ones. She loves living in Colorado and enjoys exploring all the beauty it has to offer.
Jody - Medical Assistant
Jody previously worked in athletics as an Assistant Athletic Director at a high school in California for 13 years. Jody has raised 3 kids, who are all currently in college, and she and her husband are now empty nesters and decided to move to Colorado. They have been here for a little over a year and absolutely love it.
Moving to Colorado, Jody wanted to explore a new career and decided to get into the medical field to help and serve, and ended up at Castle Rock Foot and Ankle Care. She is excited to be part of the team here at Castle Rock Foot and Ankle Care as a Medical Assistant. Not only bringing a love for learning, but her commitment and hard-working attitude benefit the practice and patients in many ways.
When Jody is not at work, she enjoys hiking, running, reading, and hanging out with her husband and dog. She also tries to keep up with their 3 kids in 3 different states.
Jasmine - Medical Assistant/ Front Office
Jasmine loves the medical field and plans to further her career in medicine. She is currently a student pursuing her B.S. of Nursing degree. She has developed admiration for the professionals involved in her care in the past, establishing interest in the medical field.
With a diverse healthcare background, she is committed to providing compassionate and effective care. Her invaluable experience as a CNA and shadowing other medical specialties has expanded her abilities in our office. This experience brings her an exceptional ability to connect with patients, work with care teams at all levels, and be familiar with all current standards and best practices.
As a Colorado native, she loves finding new places to explore and hike. She adopted an adventure-loving Pomsky named Mochi, who is now a few months old.
Lori - Medical Assistant
Lori enjoys learning and is very knowledgeable in many areas. She has worked as a paralegal for the past 22 years and has also worked as Medical Assistant for 4 years. She also extensive experience in medical billing and patient care.
With her diverse background, Lori is very empathetic with patients in all areas of their care. She is exceptionally caring, thorough and determined to give patients the best experience possible. We are very fortunate to have her in our practice.
Lori is a native of Colorado and graduated from Englewood High School. She has two daughters, Hailey and Ashley, 6 guinea pigs, 2 dogs, a cat and a rabbit that take up most of her free time. She also helps care for her grandmother and likes to spend time with her family. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking and playing volleyball.
