About Our Staff

Alyssa - Front Office/ Medical Assistant

Alyssa was born and raised on the western slope of Colorado. For undergraduate, she wanted to experience a new state and moved to Michigan, where she received her BS from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, MI. Although she loved Michigan summers, she missed Colorado and returned to pursue graduate school in her home state.

In 2020, Alyssa graduated with her Master's in Biomedical Science from Regis University. She then taught undergraduate biology labs at Regis as an affiliate faculty member before switching to healthcare. Before joining Castle Rock Foot and Ankle, Alyssa was a medical assistant at a dermatology clinic in Broomfield, CO. She plans to apply to medical school.

Alyssa is excited to use her background to continue learning in a new area of medicine. She prioritizes connection with patients because she believes that is key to helping them get the best care possible. In addition to working as a medical assistant, she is part of the front office team and enjoys greeting patients when they arrive for their appointments.

Alyssa enjoys reading, paddle boarding, painting, and hiking with her dog, Rosie.

Heather - Front Office

Heather was originally born in Colorado and moved to Alaska when she was 7 years old. She resided there until she graduated from high school in 1994. She has thoroughly enjoyed both states.

Heather loves working directly with the public, and she worked in the medical field as a caregiver for many years before coming to Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care. She loves making people smile and works hard to make each and every patient experience as pleasant and personal as possible. She is so excited to be part of the team, and she looks forward to meeting each and every one of you.

Heather's greatest joy is being a mom to her 5 kids. She enjoys photography and traveling with her kids, and in her free time, she can usually be found outdoors hiking or kayaking.

Brenda - Medical Biller & Coder / Credentialing

Brenda graduated from Elizabeth High School in 2002, in Elizabeth, Colorado.  She worked in retail as a Manager for 8 years and Emergency Dispatching for 3 years before going to work at a bank for 6 years.  She missed being in the medical field and went back to school for Medical Billing and Coding in 2018 and completed her certificate in 2019.

As a medical biller for Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care, Brenda applies her previous banking experience to the financial side of the practice; her superb attention to detail with numbers/keeping data up to date allows charts to stay extremely accurate. In addition, she is able to also tie in her medical background in order to perfect the medical coding portion of her job. Her diligence in completing tasks and excellent customer service with our patients, makes patients feel comfortable discussing their bills and invoices they receive.

Brenda and her husband have one daughter, Sierra, three step children, Caroline, Tyler and Noah and a pug, Rose.  They enjoy spending time with family and friends and spending as much time outdoors as possible.  She loves hiking, camping, Nascar and football.

 Amanda - Surgery Scheduler

Amanda has a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Culturally Responsive Pedagogy. She taught elementary school before the birth of her second daughter in 2020.

Currently, Amanda is so excited to be back at Castle Rock Foot Ankle Care! She worked in our office back in 2014 and 2015 at the front desk. She is now happy to help patients schedule their surgeries. Her attention to detail will support patients, making all patients feel informed and comfortable through this process. She is a friendly and reliable point of contact as you navigate your foot and ankle procedures.

In her free time, Amanda cherishes her family time, especially with her two daughters. She loves crafts, reading and writing- all of which are made more fun with her little ones. She loves living in Colorado and enjoys exploring all the beauty it has to offer.

Rebecca - Medical Assistant

Rebecca is interested in a future career in medicine. She is studying for her Bachelors in Biology at Colorado Mesa University with the hope to go into orthopedic surgery. She graduated from Ponderosa High School in Parker, Colorado in 2022; she lettered in women’s varsity golf all four years. During her senior year of high school, she found a love and talent for ceramic art and hopes to pursue that more when she goes back to University.

Before Rebecca joined the team, she was a patient of Dr. Herzog back in 2018 and found a career in podiatry to be interesting. When she was offered to come as summer help and during breaks from school, she accepted the opportunity and has learned a lot about working in health care.

When she is not working, Rebecca enjoys fly fishing in nearby rivers and going on camping trips with her friends to national parks. When she goes back to University in the fall, she will continue to take classes and go to guide school to be a fly guide during the summer and fall months.

Sidnie - Medical Assistant

Sidnie graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2016 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has prior healthcare experiences with nearly four years in the Medical Intensive Care Unit as a Patient Care Assistant, Unit Secretary, and Telemetry Tech. In 2021, Sidnies moved with her family from Alabama to Colorado.

Prior to joining Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care, Sidnie worked at an inpatient detox as a Clinical Manager and CNA. She has brought these skills with her to our office as a fabulous Medical Assistant. She plans to go back to school to pursue her Physician Assistant license. Sidnie is motivated with knowledge in hospital operations, delivering optimal patient care and regulatory compliance. She is hardworking and diligent with passion for patient advocacy and patient satisfaction.

When Sidnie is not at work, she enjoys hiking, baking, and traveling. She is still in the process of exploring all Colorado has to offer and loves hearing suggestions for weekend trips.
