William Farrett, DPM, is board certified in Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He provides the highest quality of care to residents of Castle Rock, CO & Highlands Ranch, CO at Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care. 

Dr. Farrett graduated summa cum laude from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1995. Prior to attending Temple University, he graduated cum laude from New York University in three years. Dr. Farrett successfully completed a reconstructive surgical residency at Presbyterian/St Luke’s (Highlands) from 1995 to 1998. 

In addition to his work at Castle Rock Foot & Ankle Care, Dr. Farrett continues to be an active attending physician and member of the Residency Committee at the Highlands/PSL Residency program. He is part-time faculty in the Department of Surgery at Presbyterian/St Luke’s in Denver.

Dr. Farrett is a co-founder of the Highlands Foot and Ankle Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit that educates fellow foot and ankle surgeons. He is currently the Clinic Director at The Highlands Podiatry Clinic at the Denver Wound Center. He was promoted to Assistant Residency Director of the Highlands/PSL Podiatric Surgical Residency Program 13 years ago and continues in that position presently. He has personally taught 42 residents over the last 24 years. 

Dr. Farrett’s treatment philosophy is treating the whole patient. He is excited to assist patients with foot and ankle conditions, making every effort to improve one’s life and lifestyle.

In his spare time, Dr. Farrett enjoys participating in endurance sports such as mountain biking and road biking. He retired from competitive ultrarunning in 2013 after a successful 12-year career. He finished the Leadville 100 run twice. He lives with his two sons in Highlands Ranch.
